New Bihar CM demands "special staus", to attend Modi's swearing-in

When PM-elect Narendra Modi telephoned Jitan Ram Manjhi,  Bihar's new Chief Minister after he was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Bihar, the latter demanded special category status for the state from him.Manjhi has been invited to the swearing-in ceremony of Modi as the Prime Minister on May 26 at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. He has confirmed his presence in the ceremony.

He has noted that   Telangana was accorded special status in a matter of hours. He has got the reigns when the energy availability in the state has risen to 2400 MW. JDU led government has a target to achieve 4500 MW to 5000 MW by 2015.

On the question of opposition BJP terming him as kathputali who will be remote controlled, Manjhi reacted saying that it is the BJP which is remote-controlled from Nagpur. He asked, "can they defy (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat?"

Manjhi has less than 12 months to deliver.
