Jharkhand's journalist-activists turned tribal leader, Dayamani Barla, Aam Admi Party (AAP)'s candidate from Khunti
constituency has filed a case against following threats from People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), an armed group. It has been alleged this was at the behest of Enos Ekka, Jharkhand Party's Kolbira MLA.
Dayamani is pitted against sitting Karia Munda, BJP MP and former deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha, AJSU’s Niel Tirkey, Enos Ekka, Kolebira MLA who was minister Madhu Koda government, Congressman Kalicharan Munda and JVM’s Basant Longa.
Such incidents indicate that Khunti has decided to send Dayamani Barla to the Parliament. Khunti will go to the polls on April 17.
Dayamani Barla has complained to the Election Commission of India in this regard. AAP has fielded seven candidates in Jharkhand.
