Patna High Court's Registrar General issued a notice dated October 15, 2025 which reads:"There shall be a Full Court Farewell Reference at 12.30 P.M. on Friday, the 17h October, 2025, in the Centenary Hall of Patna High Court in the Honour of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri, Hon'ble the Lordship'sChief Justice, upon His superannuation on 22nd October, 2025."
President of India had appointed Justice P.B. Bajanthri as 46th Chief Justice of Patna High Court. On September 20, 2025, the Ministry of Law and Justice had notified his appointment. Prior to that the Registrar General, Patna High Court had issued a notice dated August 29, 2025 regarding the assignment of the task of Acting Chief Justice. He had taken oath as Judge of Patna High Court on October 20, 2021.
During his tenure as Chief Justice, Justice Bajanthri delivered 33 judgements.
