In Arun Kumar vs. State of Bihar (2026), Supreme Court's Division Bench of Justices Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdva passed an order dated October 12, 2026, wherein, it concluded:"We find that the petitioner, having disclosed his past cases registered against him before the learned District and Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Exclusive Special Judge, Excise Court No. 1, Aurangabad, failed to do so before the High Court and in the same vein, there is no mention of his past cases in this special leave petition. In the light of the law laid down by this Court in “Munnesh vs. State of Uttar Pradesh 2025 SCC OnLine SC 1319”, the failure to disclose the full details of the past criminal cases registered against him is fatal to the petitioner’s case. The special leave petition is, accordingly, dismissed on that short ground.
