Patna High Court delivered 11 judgments on January 8, 2026 in Shri Ram General Insurance Co Ltd, vs. Ritu Agrawal & Ors., Ritu Agrawal & Ors. vs. Manager, Sriram General Insurance Company Ltd. & Ors., Kamta Prasad Sharma @ Kamta Pandey vs. The State of Bihar, Kaminee Kumari vs. The State of Bihar, Mukesh Kumar Singh vs. The Managing Director-Cum-Chairman South Bihar Power Holding Company, Patna, Kumar Vansh Giri @ Kumar Raghuvansh Giri  @ Kumar Vansh @ Harivansh Giri @ Raghuvansh Giri Vs. The State of Bihar, G.D. In Kamta Prasad Sharma @ Kamta Pandey vs. The State of Bihar & Ors. (2026), High Court's Division Bench of Chief Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo and Justice Ritesh Kumar delivered a 6-page long judgement wherein, 3-page long order by Justice Mohit Kumar Shah was upheld.  The Letters Patent Appeal was filed by the appellant against Justice Shah's order dated December 11, 2024. The High Court's judgement was . It was the 3rd judgement authored by Chief Justice Sahoo. The judgement reads:"....we find no perversity and illegality in the order impugned so as to be interferred with." Justice Shah had disposed off the writ petitions, "especially in view of the fact that the Ld. Counsels for the petitioners of the aforesaid two cases do not have any objection to conclusion of the aforesaid encroachment proceedings."

In Kaminee Kumari vs. The State of Bihar & Ors. (2026), the same High Court's Division Bench upheld the 3-page long judgement by Justice Arvind Singh Chandel. Justice Chandel had noted that as the petitioner was unable to point out any other material which show that the documents submitted by Sangeeta Kumari, the respondent No 5 were the forged documents, he did not find any merit in the petition. The 4th judgement authored by Chief Justice Sahoo endorsed the judgement by Justice Chandel.

In Mukesh Kumar Singh vs. The Managing Director-Cum-Chairman South Bihar Power HoldingCompany, Patna (2026), High Court's Division Bench of Chief Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo and Justice Ritesh Kumar delivered a 4-page long judgement. The 5th judgement by Chief Justice Sahoo upheld the 1-page long order by Justice A. Abhishek Reddy. Chief Justice Sahoo concluded: "6. In view of the limited scope of the Letters Patent Appeal, we find no perversity/illegality in the impugned order. However, while filing the appeal, as observed in the impugned order, if any application is filed for reducing the deposit of the assessed amount, the same shall be considered in accordance with law."
